IT WAS A GOOD MOTHER'S DAY

I hope everyone had a good mother's day. I was able to complete my exercise program. That always brings a smile to my face because I always get such a feeling of success.

My roses from my garden are still beautiful.

Guyk and I hope to move another load of mulch to our little forest today. Our Caladium bulbs are beginning to come up in the little forest.

We are looking into planting some gardenias for the little forest.

Thanks for coming by. See you later.

IT WAS A GOOD DAY

I did some housework today and even completed my exercise program. I was a little afraid of the exercise program but all went well. The only problem was that 5 minutes after I quit, I was stiff and sore again. But I was very pleased with myself.

Thanks again for all your great comments. Thanks for coming by. See you later.

THANKS EVERYONE

I wanted to thank everyone of you for your support during this time. I knew there must be something wrong when I went for the mammogram and I did not get a letter saying all was O.K.

I had a Stereotactic breast biopsy. Guyk has been worried sick. I have felt like my life was on hold. When they told me today that all was well, it was like I could breathe again. Ten thousand pounds lifted off my shoulders.

Guyk has read me his articles and all your responses but I have been unable to write. I found a good book to read and tried to climb into it and hide.

Thanks again. Thanks for coming by. See you later.

Good Morning All

Guyk is doing well with his rotator cuff repair. He is able to use his right arm more and more. He is not wearing his sling at all now. He is still in pain at times.

I have to have a breast biopsy. The doctor states a 10% change of cancer but a 90% that it is not. I had a biopsy back in 1996. Then they took a scoop out from around the identified area. This doctor states now they take only as much as necessary.

It is suppose to be about 69 degrees today and cooler tomorrow. It has been like summer time weather around here.

Thanks for coming by. See you later.

How I love that man of mine

My man, Guyk was able to sleep in our bed last night for about 6 hours. Today he was able to mow the grass. Yesterday he set up a rope and pulley to do his exercises. And best of all we were
able to make love for the first time in over a month.

Needless to say he is getting so much better. He has decided he can drive now so I am going to let him.

I love that man of mine.

MISERY, MISERY

Sometimes when I exercise on the treadmill, I think about how old I am. Sixty-six seems very old to be doing such things. Then yesterday on Fox news they show a little old lady of 78 years old that lifted 110 Pounds off the floor.

I have decided that when I think about my age from now on I am going to remember this 78 year old women as an example of what people can do today.

When I was growing up I was told that 65 was very old. It is very hard to overcome the attitudes of a life time. But people keep living longer and the reason they are living longer is diet and exercise.

My man is in the misery, misery stage of recovery. The recliner is uncomfortable and the bed is not much better. His last PT was this past Thursday and his next is not until Wed April 2. His shoulder and arm are giving him much grief.

I try to tell him that this too shall pass but it is not much help. Recovery seems to far away for him. I am hoping that when he starts the new month of PT he can put his depression aside.

It is very hard to see someone you love hurting so much. Especially when most of the time I feel good.

We're still making progress

Guyk fixed his own lunch today. He is able to use his arm a little more each day. But it just doesn't go fast enough for him. He gets frustrated easily.

Sleeping in our bed just didn't work out so he went back to his recliner. Everyone that has had this kind of surgery has told him it takes 5 to 6 weeks before they can leave the recliner for the bed.

We go back to rehab tomorrow. We are doing all of our errands while we are out because gas is so high. I know everyone is doing the same thing.

It is a beautiful day today. It was chilly this morning, but about 70 degrees now.
