One year old poodle

Sassie's Little Sister turned 1 year old yesterday. The hard part is behind us on dog training. She is so smart. She is very vocal on what she wants, even to go potty.

We had a fierce storm roll through here yesterday. The wind blew and the shit flew. We got a good rain but now the wind is blowing taking our rain away. It will be cold for the next few days but then spring is on the way and then summer.

Guyk is not looking forward to getting his rotator cuff fixed. But he is looking forward to be able to go fishing.

It will be nice to have this behind us instead of in front. He is enjoying his new denture. He can eat now. His mouth is still a little sore but he gets better every day.

Thanks for coming by. See you soon.

Good news

Guyk said we will go to Sports Authority or Sears and get the Nordictrack that I wanted. This is great. I feel so much better. He said to just ignore the customer comments. I can remember when we were shopping for a computer and several people stated the gateway computer was a piece of shit but we have had no problems with ours.

Thank you Guyk. I love you very much.

Shopping for a treadmill

It has been so discouraging shopping for a treadmill. I have a limited budget and limited time because Guyk has his surgery on March 7. After that he will not be putting up a treadmill for me. My money is not available until the end of the month.

I have been looking on line. Sports Authority appears to ship only. They don't say they have merchandise in the store. They had what I wanted but no time to have it shipped. Sears had want I wanted but when I read the reviews on the treadmill I had picked out, the customers indicated they paid about 200 dollars less than the advertised price on line. I don't understand this!! They must not read their own reviews.

So I am back to walmart to pick one that is not exactly what I wanted. I wanted the treadmill belt to be 20 x 55 but walmart's is 18 x 53. But the price is good.

The other thing I didn't like was that they indicate there is a fan on the treadmill. One person stated when the fan quit the treadmill would not run. This does not sound good. The more stuff they put on them, the more stuff can go wrong.

What ever happened to just keep it simple?

We got home Friday afternoon. I finally got the trailer cleaned out again.

The camp site was nice. I got to go walking almost everyday. Guyk and catfish spent a lot of time together. Guyk got his upper plate but it is still a hassle for him to use it.

The worst part of the trip was that I forgot Guyk's nubulizer. I could not believe that I did that. He needed it too. He could have really used it Friday morning when we were trying to get home. He is just give out. But he got us safely home even if he did feel rotten.

No Blog roll

I am so frustrated this morning. I have no blog roll. I can't even get to Guyk's blog. I gave up and just read the news papers.

We got a good rain yesterday but today it is cold.

Guyk has doctor appointment today with heart doctor. I am packing the jayco for our trip to Georgia in the morning.

Thanks for coming by. See you later.

The mower gets easier

I was very comfortable on the lawn mower today. I even started it by myself. Guyk didn't think I would be strong enough to handle it, but I think my upper body exercises have really helped me.

It is a beautiful day today. We carried off our trailer full of trash.

It was a good day.

The continuing saga of sweething and the lawn mower

I drove the riding lawn mower again today, but I started it myself or at least attempted to do so. Guyk came out and helped me start it. I made two swings around the yard.

Tomorrow we are going to the land fill with our trailer load of stuff we have collected. We will not be able to do this after he has surgery so we need to get it done now.

I will continue to drive the tractor until I am comfortable on it. Hopefully that day will come before the grass needs cutting again.

Guyk said I did good. I am pleased to learn how to handle the lawn mower. All knowledge is good.

Thanks for coming by. See you later.

Riding Lawn Mower

Today I learned how to use the riding lawn mower. I have always hesitated to get on it because it jerks your back. But I am so much better with my back that it did not bother me at all.

I drove the mower around the yard and even mowed a little grass. I need lots of practice but I have time to practice before Guyk has his surgery. The mower was noisy, dusty and smelled awful bad. Exhaust fumes, I guess.

It was fantastic to learn something new and it was a lot of fun. I have put off learning all the while knowing it would be stupid to have that big mower in the yard, Guyk not able to use it and I would not know how.

It was a beautiful day. The weather was perfect, not to hot or to cold. Guyk finished mowing the yard and I did the weed eating. It was a good day.

Thanks for coming by. See you later.

Rotator Cuff

We are going to experience everything you always wanted to know about the rotator cuff. Guyk is scheduled for surgery on his rotator cuff on his right shoulder on March 7, 2008. He is right handed and his arm will be immobilized for 6 to 8 weeks. This is also his mouse hand. And to add to all this he types with two fingers or he did. He will be stuck with typing with one finger.

I suppose that I can type for him as he dictates, but I don't know if I can type his red-neck speak. He types how a word sounds. I am anal. I type or try to type correct English.

We are going to rearrange the living room as he will be sleeping in the recliner. Impossible to lay in bed with his arm in that immovable structure.

He is looking forward to getting it fixed and so am I. Our friend, Kenny said his friend, Leroy had this surgery done. He said Leroy was very happy with the results and he was no longer in pain.

Guyk is hurting all the way down in his fingers on his right arm from this rotator cuff injury.

We leave next week to go to Georgia to get his new denture plate. Then at least he will be able to eat.

He and Catfish will have one last fling before Guyk's surgery and long rehab.

We are going to get my new treadmill when we get back from Georgia. Otherwise who knows when Guyk will be able to set one up for me. I intend to help all I can. I am really looking forward to this new treadmill.

I will need this new treadmill to rid myself of all excess stress. Guyk is not the most amenable patient in the world. In fact, he usually is a grouch. But I love this grouch of mine with all my heart.

Next year we hope to go back to Oklahoma and get another freezer full of that wonderful catfish.

Thanks for stopping by. See you later.

My birthday present

There is nothing as precious as something that is hand made with lots of love. Guyk made this paper towel holder for me for my birthday. You can see the paper towel on it on his sitecharming. The fishing line with the weight attached keeps the wind from blowing the paper towels away on the picnic table.

Thank you Darling. I love you.

Happy Birthday to me

I got most of my first of the month chores done today. Gave Little Sister the poodle her heart guard, cleaned the coffee pot, paid the bills, gave Miss Sassie poodle a bath. Tomorrow we are doing flea meds.

Guyk is getting him a new gun when we go back to Ga for his new dentures. So I get a new treadmill since we can't go on vacation to OK this year anyway. Guyk's shoulder is so bad he can't drive very far. Some times he can't even pick up his coffee cup. He has an orthopedic appointment on the 7th of this month.

My birthday is the 4th of this month. I have added 20 set-ups and 10 push ups to my exercise program as my birthday present to me.

Guyk can't drive very far but he figures he can drive to see Catfish every couple of months. That is fine with me now that we have found that nice campground and I now know the way to Walmart from the camp.

Thanks for coming by. See you later.
