MISERY, MISERY

Sometimes when I exercise on the treadmill, I think about how old I am. Sixty-six seems very old to be doing such things. Then yesterday on Fox news they show a little old lady of 78 years old that lifted 110 Pounds off the floor.

I have decided that when I think about my age from now on I am going to remember this 78 year old women as an example of what people can do today.

When I was growing up I was told that 65 was very old. It is very hard to overcome the attitudes of a life time. But people keep living longer and the reason they are living longer is diet and exercise.

My man is in the misery, misery stage of recovery. The recliner is uncomfortable and the bed is not much better. His last PT was this past Thursday and his next is not until Wed April 2. His shoulder and arm are giving him much grief.

I try to tell him that this too shall pass but it is not much help. Recovery seems to far away for him. I am hoping that when he starts the new month of PT he can put his depression aside.

It is very hard to see someone you love hurting so much. Especially when most of the time I feel good.

We're still making progress

Guyk fixed his own lunch today. He is able to use his arm a little more each day. But it just doesn't go fast enough for him. He gets frustrated easily.

Sleeping in our bed just didn't work out so he went back to his recliner. Everyone that has had this kind of surgery has told him it takes 5 to 6 weeks before they can leave the recliner for the bed.

We go back to rehab tomorrow. We are doing all of our errands while we are out because gas is so high. I know everyone is doing the same thing.

It is a beautiful day today. It was chilly this morning, but about 70 degrees now.

Nap Time

I caught all my babies asleep this afternoon. I was afraid Little Sister would jump down before I got her picture but she didn't. Guyk put the pictures on my blog for me.

We're making progress

Guyk was able to sleep in our bed last night instead of the recliner. He got his stitches out yesterday. He is getting through the day without pain pills. His rehab is suppose to get more intensive now.

It is a beautiful day today. The sun is shinning. About 70 degrees.

I got our taxes done today.

I love my new treadmill.

Guyk is stronger

We were able to have fried catfish for lunch today. I figured we would have to wait until his arm was out of the sling before we could have catfish again because we have to use the cooker outside. It was very good.

We are going to give him a bath this afternoon and change his dressing. A bath always make him feel better.

He sees his doctor next Wednesday. We are hoping he can get the stitches out. Then he can take a shower and maybe go to bed again.

Thanks everyone for your encouragement. It means so much to Guyk. He enjoys hearing from everyone. I do too, but it is different when you are a patient.

Guyk is much improved

I was sleeping in my recliner so I could be close to Guyk in his recliner. The pups took the couch. Three nights we sleep this way. Then last night Guyk was better so I went to bed. I feel so much better. Guyk is much improved and the bed was wonderful.

After I had back surgery, the recliner is the worst place for me to sleep. Guyk is looking forward to when he can sleep in the bed. But for now he has to stay in a position where his shoulder is elevated.

We thought they only did microscopic surgery, but they cut open his shoulder too.
He is working very hard on his exercises they told him to do in rehab.

He is looking forward to shooting guns again with catfish and going fishing.

My treadmill works greats. I love it.

I wanted to thank everyone for encouraging him in his recovery. He loves his blog site. He loves talking to so many wonderful friends.

Well--shit!

Guyk goes in Friday to get his shoulder fixed but now he has another tooth ache. We just started back to eating decent and this happens. We are hoping he can get it pulled next week.

The idiot dentist in Georgia should have pulled all his teeth put what the hell. Guyk would not need a dentist if he had no teeth. I will be glad when he gets all the bottom ones pulled and gets a lower plate.

We have taken 2 steps forward and one step back.

But I love my new treadmill. Guess I should count my blessings. But then I couldn't bitch. I do love that man of mine and I am glad that I got him, bad shoulder and bad teeth, and bad knees.

I love my new treadmill

Guyk got me a Pro-form XP 620. I just love it. It is so nice. I was a little afraid of it to begin with, but I saw Guyk on it and he had no problems. It is so much bigger than my old one. It works just great. And the paper work said it was made in the USA.

I finally got all the end of the month chores done. Tomorrow we are doing flea meds. Guyk has a doctor appointment in the AM.

I know poor little Sassie poodle thinks I am trying to drown her when I give her a bath.

I used my treadmill today at the speed that I used on the old one. Next time I will increase the speed a little at a time as I get comfortable with the treadmill.
