MISERY, MISERY

Sometimes when I exercise on the treadmill, I think about how old I am. Sixty-six seems very old to be doing such things. Then yesterday on Fox news they show a little old lady of 78 years old that lifted 110 Pounds off the floor.

I have decided that when I think about my age from now on I am going to remember this 78 year old women as an example of what people can do today.

When I was growing up I was told that 65 was very old. It is very hard to overcome the attitudes of a life time. But people keep living longer and the reason they are living longer is diet and exercise.

My man is in the misery, misery stage of recovery. The recliner is uncomfortable and the bed is not much better. His last PT was this past Thursday and his next is not until Wed April 2. His shoulder and arm are giving him much grief.

I try to tell him that this too shall pass but it is not much help. Recovery seems to far away for him. I am hoping that when he starts the new month of PT he can put his depression aside.

It is very hard to see someone you love hurting so much. Especially when most of the time I feel good.

Thanks for coming by. See you later.

After you drive to Texas come to Mississippi and Bob and I will take you back to the Delta to visit Rex at the famous Christmas Place Plantation...you just got to ride on the Othmar and catch a slew of fish. I know Penny is taking good care of you. Like she said...this too shall pass and it will - the Bible said so! Later, my friend. :)

Sounds like you're doing pretty good, actually. I'm still barely making a mile on the treadmill at 3 mph and at a slight incline. And I'm only 56.

Hi Sweetthing ~

I saw a man 101 years old running in a marathon. He had to have his smoke, and a pint of beer every few blocks, but he was running with his trainer at his side. Just goes to show you, these PT's will do anything to keep us moving. Honest.

Tell guy that it just takes time and every so often it seems like he will turn a corner and it will be better.
