HIBISCUS

This hibiscus is so pretty. Guyk bought them Tuesday and we planted them yesterday morning.

It was actually cool when I stepped out the back door with the pups this morning. It felt so good not to be blasted by hot air.

Guyk got his eye appointment done so we are done with doctors for this week.

Maybe the weather man didn't lie and it will rain this week-end as promised.

Those are so pretty! I tried one a few years ago and the bugs ate it up before it could get very big... what kind of pesticide do ya'll use?

7 dust powder and liquid depending on the weather.

That's the nice thing about living in Florida, you can grow all those exotic plants.

I love the pictures of your hibiscus...happens to be one of my favorite flowers!

A few weeks ago, my son and I set out over thirty plants...all different colors of pretty flowers, and the next morning, all that was left were the stems of most of them. Our nocturnal visiting deer feasted on them!

I've tried my best on those damn things. I must have, killed every one of them.

I had a hibiscus for several years before something got at the roots. I grew it on the south side of the house, so the roots didn't freeze in the winter. Used to grow over six foot high, and had blooms that were as big as a coffee mug.
