Weed-eating

Today's exercise was weed-eater exercise. I spent about 4 hours in the yard. I feel like it too. Tired. But it was good work and the yard looks nice. Guyk mowed yesterday so I had to weed-eat or feel guilty all day about not doing it.

It was a good day.

I usually mow and hubby does the weedeater. It kills my back but I think it's the height that does it to me.

I have met the guy that invented the weed eater. He is from Houston, TX. He patented his idea and sold it for a lot of money early on. He later lost most of his fortune in bad real estate investments. He should have negotiated to get a small percentage of every weed eater sold. Instead he sold all the rights to his invention.

My hubs had a big 'industrial' weed eater that just killed my back, so I never used it and he rarely did. This spring I got myself a battery operated one and it is so light and easy that now I like to weedeat! Better than worrying about him mowing too close to my flowerbeds...

Good for you!

I hope your weeds weren't as large as those I pulled yesterday. One I had to dig down and cut off with the chainsaw. it was a 12" diameter root the other was at least 9" in diameter. The pulling wasn't bad, with the F250 in 4wd, never spun a wheel but the yard is a mess, those two roots were over 30' long each, it was the digging, cutting and hauling the killed my back. now the lawn can grow back and it can be mowed without hitting the tops of those darn roots.

Nice way to share the load. I personnaly hate weed eating, because of the way the damn chord keeps having to be replaced/rewound. Guess I need to become a pro at it like you.

.... my goodness... well, just keep saying to yourself over and over and over, "there is no such thing as weedeater guilt, there is no such thing as weedeater guilt.." .... it has definitely served me very well....
